Stormwaver

Stormwaver is a 3 piece live trance band, created with the use of electronic and traditional instrumentation. Their sound has been described as being "futuristic tribal dance music", and they captivate audiences with the magic of sound. Jerk With a Bomb

Stylistically this is a songs-first duo, who have elements in their music that can be genre-lized into the camps of folk, country, punk, experimental, jazz and new wave.

Jerk with A Bomb are about real songs, good songs, melancholia without a shred of self-absorption and heartfelt, honest delivery with a sense of humour thrown in for good measure.

The central characters of JWAB, One Easy Skag and the Silo, prefer to let the music do the talking. They are revered in their own community, have toured the U.S. a few times, including a recent 4 week jaunt, and have released 2 full length records.

Class '88

Class '88 was founded by student activists who participated in the August 8th, 1988 student led nationwide democracy uprising in Burma.

The band's mandate is to raise awareness about the political situation in their country, and to gain international support for freedom in Burma. The military regime in Burma, has been internationally condemned for their continuing pattern of gross and systematic violations of human rights. Class '88's revolutionary songs will captivate, educate and inspire.

Sylo

Based on Denman Island , SYLO first came together a year and a half ago as a group of friends wanting to explore the possibilities of music. They started with concussive soundscapes and then began working on a rawer sound. Some songs are loud, fast and noisy, others moody and introspective.

Sylo try to balance their search for spontaneity with retrieving the sound that is "that" song. For Sylo, their weekly sessions and the performances that grow out of them are TAZŐs Đ Temporary Autonomous Zones. "For short periods of time we manage to liberate another portion of our lives, to be inspired, playful, angry."
