Kidz Zone!!!!
Music! Games! Storytelling! Crafts! Parade! ...and more!
The kids area is a space designed especially for kids, parents, caregivers and their friends. There’s a host of fun activities to be had this year, including button making workshops, arts and crafts, facepainting, storytelling by Damien George (Tsleil-Waututh Nation), games, The Interactive Musical Circle and more!
There will also be mask-making workshops, created especially for the “Little People’s Parade”. The kid’s will design their own masks and then get ready to parade through the festival site at 5:00, led by none other than Fishnet the Clown. Fishnet is just a few inches shy of 9 feet tall and she loves to blow her whistle & make faces to encourage as much smiling as possible. The Main Stage will observe some minutes of silence, to honour the wee ones marching through, reminding us to have a slice of fun with our revolutionary pie.
Water and fresh fruit will be provided, as will a quiet shaded space for napping, feeding etc.
Parents/caregivers are encouraged to participate, and supervision is a must. Despite our many fabulous volunteer play technicians, we are unable to provide childcare.
Come do art, make music and play!
Costumes are ALWAYS welcome!
